THE NEGOTIATE THE SALE SYSTEM™ ("NTS")
was created to fill a void in the sales & negotiating
training arena. Sales professionals in the sophisticated
high ticket sale industry categories like mergers and
acquisitions, commercial real estate, commercial lending,
financial services and international trade, to name
a few, simply were left with less than satisfactory
options for sales and negotiating skills development.
Although there are countless training
companies worldwide, the training community simply has
not created a fully integrated, stand-alone Negotiating
Program that simultaneously integrates a powerful fresh
sales approach into the process. Typically, the
two topics sales and negotiating, on the surface appear
like different disciplines. Separate workshops seemed
like the logical training step. This strategy, fails
for several reasons. Firstly, the traditional "go for
the Yes sales approach", is the heavy favorite in training
circles. This approach, as so many companies are quickly
recognizing, are rehashed strategies from decades past
that simply put, under-deliver on their promise of improved
sales and do not lay the groundwork for successful negotiations.
The stand-alone negotiating modules have
other challenges. They generally pull from the traditional
"haggling model." These strategies and techniques are
simply much too elementary for the type of sophisticated
negotiations in which these industry professionals participate.
As is often the case in these industry categories, the
sales cycle can be long. High-powered negotiating during
these lengthy cycles are typical. The sales executives
participating in these negotiations must be equipped
with an integrated skill set to ultimately make the
sale, and to preserve or increase margins in the process.
